This is a great question and will likely vary depending on your situation. Here are some general guidelines to help get you started. Whenever a new benefit, event or program is decided on, CCDA must determine where it makes sense from a sustainability standpoint for the benefit to fit into our overall structure. Always check with the membership department if you have specific questions.
First decide whether you want individual or organizational benefits.
Individual members get access to about 80% of our benefits for free and get discounts on most other things. Organizational members get access to the same benefits plus they are able to post on our job board, get extra discounts for large groups coming to conferences, participate in organizational studies that contribute to reports, access our reports like the Wages and Benefits Report and other things that most individuals might not need.
If you opt for Individual then you can decide between Silver and Gold. Gold gets access to some additional discounts and a few additional events or programs. Unless you know a specific program that requires Gold, for most individuals Silver is the right choice.
If you opt for Organizational the difference between levels has less to do with specific benefits and more to do with scale.
- Bronze allows for one log in, one map entry, one main point of contact for your organization, one person who can access any benefits. This is especially important for Members Only events or discounts as well as leadership roles that require membership (Workshop Presenters, Network Leadership, etc). When people from your organization ask us questions about benefits we refer them to you.
- Silver is the same except that it allows for three log ins, three map entries, three points of contact for your organization, three people who can access any benefits. This is especially important for Members Only events or discounts as well as leadership roles that require membership (Workshop Presenters, Network Leadership, etc), as well as easier separation of duties (accountant handles billing matters, hr team handles job postings, ed, ceo, lead pastor, etc does networking and events, etc.) When people have questions about our benefits you can add them to your account and have them contact us.
- Gold is completely customizable based on your needs. All the benefits for as many people as you’d like. Provide your whole team access to our trainings. Onboard new interns and employees with our curriculum. Universities can sign students up and utilize our resources as part of their digital library. Churches can sign up small group leaders to leverage our curriculum and events to extend their discipleship offerings. Denominations can list multiple churches on our membership map. When people have questions about our benefits you can add them to your account and have them contact us.
Whatever decision you make, CCDA stands ready to help inspire, train and connect as you do the work in your community. For questions specific to your scenario go ahead and check in with [email protected]
